Shooting Pheasants

Me descending the Salmon Steps

Today Rob and I ran the River Barle from Tarr Steps to Exbridge as we are teaching on it for the next two days and we wanted to see if it was free from fallen down trees. There are a number of trees in the river but they are all negotiable.

As we launched a Pheasant shoot was on but we manged to avoid getting shot and moved off down the river before we were hit by dead birds falling out of the sky. On one of the stoppers I decided to see what happened if I took it very slowly at an odd angle, well, I had to roll twice so probably not my best decision today.

The day ended with an excellent meal in The Anchor Inn at Exbridge
