Anstey's Cove Climbing

After a couple of days of admin stuff it was good to get out and about and I took the bike for a spin down to Anstey's Cove in Torbay to meet up with Mark for some sunny afternoon climbing.

The easier routes there are interesting to say the least. Slabby with no gear on the first pitch and chossy with no gear on the second pitch. Fortunately both the routes we chose had a bolted route running next to them on the first pitch so we "borrowed" the bolts.

I think the routes we did were 1st pitch of Sunshine (bolted Fr 5+)  into 2nd pitch if St Gregory the Wonder Worker HS 4b followed by 1st pitch of Bluesky (bolted Fr 5c) into 2nd pitch St Jude S 4a which was effectively a solo apart from 1 well dodgy bit of gear.

Great to be out on warm rock in the sun mixing all climbing types. Todays routes would be best described as a sport-trad-solo adventures.
