Winter Season in Scotland
Just started this blog today so a quick review so far. Having moved up to Scotland for the winter season on 27th December 2008 I am staying here untill the end of March 2009. This season I have managed a number of classic routes such as: Tower Ridge III 4 on The Ben Aladdins Mirror Direct IV 4 in The Cairngorms No 6 Gully IV 4 on Aonach Dub Staghorn Gully III at Creag Meagaidh. I have also climbed a Number of Routes at Aonach Mor taking full advanatge of the Gondola and Ski Tows including: The Web II/III Temperance Union Blues III Pernille III Muddy Waters III I have takien a number of people on Grade I and II climbs in the area and intoducing them to the skills required for winter mountaineering and climbing. My aim for this season is to learn to ski well enough to complete The Haute Route in April. Hope the snow comes back soon so I can continue improving. The last couple of days have been very wet with an ascent of Forcan Ridge at Glenshiel, some Mountain Biking at The Witches Trail...
