North Wales Day 4

Image
Tryfan North Ridge, started in sunshine, ended in rain and wind. Vicky enjoyed her first proper scramble but conditions were not good enough to make the jump from Adam to Eve

North Wales Day 3

Image
Today Vicky and I headed into Cwm Cneifion for some scrambling. Another mixed weather day with some rain, wind and occasional sunshine.

North Wales Day 2

Image
Back out into the Welsh sunshine (which include hail) today as we headed up into the Carneddau for another day of welsh mountains. We had the lot from sun, rain, wind and hail but still managed to get back to the car in good spirits and relatively dry after summiting Carnedd Llewellyn Good luck to Charlie who is starting her ML assessment tomorrow and Vicky and I will be off scrambling if the weather allows.

North Wales Day 1

Image
So the whole country in on a weather warning and I am in North Wales playing in the Mountains with two clients. Unbelievably today, we did not get any significant rain between leaving the cafe at 9:30 and returning to the cafe at 4pm. There was plenty of rain over night though making things wet underfoot and the rivers were full and flowing. It was somewhat windy though today which kept us away from ridges.

This week I have been running a Pool Lifeguard Course for my students at Plymouth College. Well done to the 4 who passed today. I am now on my way to North Wales for some fun in the mountains.

Dartmoor Nav Training

Simply The Best (Shark Project) - Red Sea

Image
This week I have been away on Blue Voyager in the Red Sea diving with Somerset Divers . Hammerheads, Threshers, Grey Reef Sharks all seen but sadly no Oceanic Whitetips, in particular no sighting of shark 456 who I sponsor.

PADI Open Water Dives 3 & 4

I am pleased to report that 3 of my students achieved their Open Water qualification with Aquanauts in Plymouth today. Vis was better but not great and my hands were full of SMB's and torch so no pictures I am afraid. Tomorrow I fly to The Red Sea for some warm water diving. Hope to post some shark pictures and video during the week.

PADI Open Water Dives 1 & 2

Today I diving with some Open Water students just off Plymouth Hoe. Water was a warm(ish) 16 degrees but no pictures today as vis was quite poor.

Coastal Walking

Image
Today I was on the Coastal path around Looe running some in house training. What a great day compared to last week with sun and blue skies for the majority of the day. There was even time for an ice lolly at the end.
