Dartmoor(ish) D of E

Image
Horny Cows :-) It has been a busy 2 weeks with some climbing and coasteering but no chance to get an decent pictures so no blog entries. However this weekend I have been on the east fringe of Dartmoor with a D of E group. The weather was vile on Saturday and all the boys did well to get through the day still smiling. Sunday was a slightly drier day and it was good to see the water levels creeping up in the rivers for the paddling season.

Swanage Diving

Image
Me  Sue    Exploring the wreck A Big Crab Today I was diving aboard Rocket with Somerset Divers and my buddy Sue. The first dive was 30m on Ky Arra, a wreck off Swanage . Lots of fish life and very pleasant 18 degree water made the dive excellent. The second was a shallower drift across Swanage Bay. There were loads of crabs on this dive and I also saw a large Dogfish.

Coasteering

A great day out Coasteering with my students today. Warm water and plenty of sun over in Torbay made it a good experience for all.

Plymouth Sound Sea Kayak

Today was the last day of freedom. Back to school tomorrow so I found time to get out in the kayak with some friends for a couple of hours paddling round from Mount Batten to Bovisand and back before the chaos begins. Sun was shining and it was warm enough for short sleeves.
