 Ken having a snooze I haven't been out on the yacht since August so it was great to be out with some friends for a days sailing. Although the aim was to get to Looe, the wind dropped halfway and we didn't make it and came back to Plymouth under motor. Hard to believe there will be Force 8 Gales tomorrow as per the forecast. Today the jobs were are follows: Skipper = Daisy, Crew = Pete and Ken (when he wasn't dozing off), Cabin Boy = me.

All of this week I have been running a National Pool Lifeguard Course for my students in Plymouth. Although only a small group, it still took the whole week and left me no time to get out climbing or walking on the moor. Well done to the sucessful candidates I don't know if it is because of my week away but it seems to be very cold here and I even found the swimming pool cold compared with the sea last week.

Arriving back into the cold UK yesterday and it was straight out onto Dartmoor this morning with the year 9 and 10 students who wish to take part in the Ten Tors event. We had a misty start but it cleared up during the day leaving us a warm afternoon. Although only a short 16km walk, it gave them a taste of what is to come.

Well what a week I have had. Diving in the Red Sea with Blue O Two organised by Somerset Divers . Not only did I see loads of coral and fish, I also was diving with Oceanic White Tip, Hammerhead, Grey Reef and Thresher Sharks. The weather was fantastic and the 18 dives were all great.

I am currently away on a liveaboard in the Red Sea for a week of diving. I will update when I can.

Back to being a student today after a few weeks of helping to train divers, I was a candidate on a Deep Diver course at Vobster Quay . Thanks to Somerset Divers I now have my 40m ticket in time for the Red Sea trip later this week.

Today was the 4th and last day working with my Plymouth College students who are undertaking the PADI OW Qualification. Due to wind and waves we went to New England Quarry where we finished off the course and had a swim around the old rescue helicopter at the same time. This underwater photography lark might take some getting used to but I think I have improved on last weeks pictures.
