Gozo Dive Day 4

Image
Today I headed back out into Xlendi Bay with the OW students for their dives 2 and 3. I am keen to get out and dive some other sites tomorrow though. There are only so many dives in the bay.

Gozo Dive Day 3

An Octopus This morning we headed to Coral Gardens near The Blue Hole for our first dive of around 20 metres.  After lunch, we dived the tunnel in Xlendi Bay. On the way back to the centre I passed out other students heading out for their firts OW dive and having 100 bar left I turned round and joined them for my third dive of the day back in Xlendi Bay at around 8m.

Gozo Dive Day 1

Having left Plymouth on Saturday night, we travelled by minibus, plane, bus, ferry and another minibus to arrive at our base at Moby Dives on the island of Gozo. 7 of the students are taking the PADI OW course, 1 taking the AOW and 5 are here purely for fun. Todays fun dives were in Xlendi Bay and  at Raz-il Hobz in 23 degree water whilst the OW students were in the slightly colder swimming pool.

Wembury Paddle

It was great to get out for a quick blast in the sea kayaks with Olly this morning. We launched at Wembury for a quick trip round the Mew Stone and into the Yealm estuary before heading back to Wembury. A quick dog walk and a drive round to Jennycliff saw us sat in the cafe watching the racing trimarans testing in the sound before the next leg of their journey. I then manged to get to the yacht for a couple of hours and fitted the lazy jacks

After finishing with activities week today and with the help of Olly Rees, I managed to get the majority of the van furniture finished. All I need now are a shelf and doors for the kitchen unit, fit the cooker/sink and to get the soft furnishings in.
