Pool Lifeguard Assessment

I arrived back from France late on Tuesday night and have spent the rest of the week getting the yacht ready to go back on the water. This will be lifted in whilst I am away this coming week.

This morning was a quick visit to Brean Splash to do a Lifeguard Assessment for staff there and tomorrow I will be heading up to North Wales for a few days in the mountains.

Today's boating session was delayed by a few hours until the temperature rose above zero then it was a case of powering through the now thin layer of ice to have a trip down the canal. The swans had managed to keep a 3m area of canal open by swimming about all night but seem very happy that we open up a lot more of the canal for them. A mix of Tandem and Solo skills demonstrated today from the Outdoor Students.

Back on the Beach

Today it was back to Whitsand for some more beach lifeguard training with my usual students. The sun was shining and the water was warm. Even Daisy had a go with a rescue tube.
