Wet and misty on The Quantock Hills today for my Bridgwater College students. It was their turn to lead a route today so we went to some places I haven't been to for a while (and probably won't go to again).

Today's boating session was delayed by a few hours until the temperature rose above zero then it was a case of powering through the now thin layer of ice to have a trip down the canal. The swans had managed to keep a 3m area of canal open by swimming about all night but seem very happy that we open up a lot more of the canal for them. A mix of Tandem and Solo skills demonstrated today from the Outdoor Students.

Back on the Beach

Today it was back to Whitsand for some more beach lifeguard training with my usual students. The sun was shining and the water was warm. Even Daisy had a go with a rescue tube.
