Mountain Leader Assessment Day 3

After a slight change of plan yesterday when the Mountain Leader assessment candidates went out with Stu onto Tryfan, I was back on the hill with them today for the first day of their 3 day expedition around Snowdon before leaving them with Stu later in the day to continue for the next few days

Some pretty impressive clouds today pouring over the south ridge of Snowdon and whilst the pass was in cloud, round on the Watkin path is was blue skies and sunshine. Another great day working for Wet and High Adventures Ltd.

Today's boating session was delayed by a few hours until the temperature rose above zero then it was a case of powering through the now thin layer of ice to have a trip down the canal. The swans had managed to keep a 3m area of canal open by swimming about all night but seem very happy that we open up a lot more of the canal for them. A mix of Tandem and Solo skills demonstrated today from the Outdoor Students.

Back on the Beach

Today it was back to Whitsand for some more beach lifeguard training with my usual students. The sun was shining and the water was warm. Even Daisy had a go with a rescue tube.
