Hill and Moorland Leader Assessment Day 2

A much drier but very windy day on Dartmoor today working for Wet and High Adventures Ltd on a Hill and Moorland Leader assessment with 6 candidates split between Mark and I.

We swapped groups today and went to have a look at some of the devastation caused by last weeks fires. They covered a substantial area and there is significant damage to the grasses. The mosses and lichens however seemed to have survived. I would expect that quite a few ground nesting birds lost their nests.

A proper late night as we had to stay out to await for darkness, finally getting back to the cars around 10:30pm
